LONDON was recently ranked the premier city for gay rendezvous, according to Erobella‘s 2025 Global Gay Cruising Index.
The index evaluates cities based on their “number of gay saunas, cruising clubs, gay bars, and public parks” to form an overall score for potential cruisers.
And the home of Big Ben edged out some pretty tough competition, including Berlin, Paris, Madrid, and Barcelona, which rounded out the top-5, in that order.

IMO this is the result of historic oppression forcing connection(s) into an “underground” scene, hidden from the public eye.

I don’t think this culture still exists in a lot of places. I used to cruise a little when I was younger. Now there are no gay saunas, there never were any cruising clubs, and gay bars are all “gay friendly” bars – so they’re full of straight guys hitting on lesbians. All the bathrooms in parks and other places are single cubicle unisex arrangements with doors that open automatically after 10 minutes.
