Did you feel the same about Madonna’s “Vogue”? But even if you did, everyone borrows from everyone else’s culture in food, music, art, language, style, literature. No culture has concrete walls and barbed wire around it. The question is, like here, is the music any good? She doesn’t have to be a lesbian POC to use vogueing–ain’t no copyright on it.
agree
her music isnt any good. thats why it is so annoying that shes just using the scene. if at least she had a bop. this music sounds like what my mom would listen going on a bus to work. or a kindergarten teacher playing to their kids after a lunch break.
I’m so sick of her using lgbt and black culture to make her music cool and relevant. She can’t sing live and is so overproduced. Not a cute look, why is omgblog perpetuating her? It’s appropriation from a hetero white girl pure and simple.
