One of my favourite terrible Halloween records around this time of year would have to be Pulsallama‘s “The Devil Lives In My Husband’s Body”. (I think a lot of people can totally relate to thinking that the Devil lives in their husband’s body, particularly after he’s had a large meal.)
Pulsallama was this eccentric, all girl, percussion band from NYC between the years of 1980-82 who opened for bands like The Clash, but they were short-lived and had only a couple of known releases.
“The Devil Lives In My Husband’s Body” featured steel drums, a witch who’s a cat lady, off-key singing gothic housewives, and of course – Satanic possession! Have a listen above, and revel in its utter ridiculousness!
