The first trailer for Hurricanna (pronouncing this HurricaniANKA, obvi) dropped this week, with Sylvia Hoeks (Luv in Blade Runner 2049) as Anna Nicole Smith. The film skips the Guess ads and the Playmate years and stays in the hours around a paid appearance at a championship boxing match near the end of her life. Mark Duplass plays Howard K. Stern, the lawyer and boyfriend pushing her to take the money. Holly Hunter plays the psychiatrist who shows up at her Florida hotel to help, and the two of them end up fighting over who’s to blame for what’s in her pill bottles. It’s.. gonna be a watch. It’s gonna be a yes for me. Let’s just say that.
When you think of Kathy Griffin – you might not think “bald”. But the comedian has survived cancer, being canceled by MAGA (lol – okay, moral standing!), and Hollywood! She ALSO didn’t get invited on as a guest when Rosie filled in for Kimmel, which Kathy says she took to heart – but notTrixie! No, she’s not gonna do Kathy like that.

The Dolly Parton estate and Integrity Toys haven’t waited a MINUTE in launching the first three “Dolly Dolls,” a set of collector figures Dolly herself worked on for over a year before her passing in August.
Each 12-inch doll is modeled on a real look from her personal fashion archive, tied to her new Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville, with makeup matched to her Dolly Beauty line. The trio: Dreamin’ in Gingham (limited to 2,000, $165, comes with a custom rhinestone guitar), World on Fire (2,000, $175, based on her 2023 ACM Awards fit with a removable world-map overskirt), and Diamond in a Rhinestone World. In a note printed right on the packaging, Dolly connected them back to the corn-cob doll her mama made her as a girl, the one that inspired her very first song.

Paramount and Legendary dropped a second look at their live-action Street Fighter this week. It’s set in 1993, which explains the neon, the hair, and the general fever-dream quality of the whole thing.

For the uninitiated, Mortville is the gloriously grimy shantytown at the center of 1977’s Desperate Living, the Pope of Trash’s fairytale for perverts, ruled by the tyrannical Queen Carlotta, populated by wrestlers, murderesses, and a woman who eventually gets what’s coming to her in the most anatomically memorable way possible.
It remains the only Waters film without Divine, and somehow it out-filths the competition anyway. Iconic real estate. So the idea of him strolling back into that trash-heap kingdom, at 80, has us feral. Check it out above!
