A beautifully crafted story of forbidden love and changing social conventions, My Policeman follows three young people – policeman Tom (Harry Styles), teacher Marion (Emma Corrin), and museum curator Patrick (David Dawson)– as they embark on an emotional journey in 1950s Britain. the plot of this film is quite similar to the 2008 UK play The Pride which opened in
New York in 2010. the play was about three young played by Hugh Dancy.Ben Whishaw and
Andrea Riseborough. the first half takes place in 1958 and the second half takes place in
2008.
By “is he or isn’t he”, what you actually mean is ‘serial queer-baiter’. And yet another straight actor in a gay role. Double yikes.
