It appears that Microsoft has come up with something cool and innovative for the first time since their DOS operating system hit the market in the 80s. Windows Live Local makes you feel like you are driving to the location of your choice by providing front and side view photography of any street address that you type in. You also can drive a little car (a race car, no less!) around a city with the keyboard or mouse, and the photos will update. (via Beaverhausen)
Soon travel itself will be obsolete once Microsoft comes up with Windows Live Bar later on this year, which allows you to peek inside local establishments and even meet people and take them home.
