no one ever heard of?
The big name actors may ask for too much money, or simply not want to appear naked, even with a prosthetic. I’ve seen a few interviews where American actors have said they aren’t doing any sort of nudity because they have or are planning to have kids, and don’t want to have to explain that. Prudishness is so ingrained in our culture, which also tends to explain why nude scenes are more common in European movies. For some movies they know in advance they want nudity, and have that as an expectation when auditioning. Considering the above, that may mean a less well known actor gets the part.
