In Lukas Wesslowski’s IKARUS, Ben (Maximilian Gehrlinger) turns up at a remote house in the woods that once held a school where, the story goes, a strange man taught young people to fly. He talks Carla (Janine Meißner), the loner who lives there now, into becoming his teacher, and the flying lessons get stranger the longer he stays.
Icarus flew too close to the sun. Gehrlinger, one of the 185 actors who came out together in the #ActOut campaign in 2021, shows us where the sun don’t shine.
