!! OMG, quote of the day: Kathy Griffin lashes out at Writers Guild at Writers Guild Awards !!

“It’s me, Kathy Griffin — I got a haircut and I lost my career in a day. Hi,” she said while presenting the night’s animation award. “I just want to thank all the powerful writers and showrunners in this room for f—king no support. Where the f—k have you been?” she mocked. “I was supposed to thank everyone for their support, and no one [lifted] their finger.”

  1. I have adored Kathy since her first HBO Special “Hot Cup of Talk”. Genius comedy!!! Have enjoyed her over the years, saw her live a few times. Her comedy was always fresh and unique and an absolute riot. The photo overstepped. She KNEW when she did it there might be fallout. I think she was just surprised at how much fallout there was. She should’ve owned it and said, “You know what? I pushed too far. I finally found the line and went over it. I’m angry and I let that cloud my judgement. It was never my intention to offend people.” Then take some time away and let people get beyond it. Nah. She decided to “cry” and play “the victim” during a bullshit press conference. She then cut her hair (I believe her routine at one point mentioned Britney’s haircut as a sure sign things were going south) and started to through people under the bus left and right. The appearance at the WGA awards shows she still on the victim train and the station to get off isn’t fast approaching. Sorry Kathy. It was fun while it lasted.

  2. I love Kathy! I have seen her in concert three times, and she is brilliant. She does nothing but support gay rights, and rights for all people. It is a shame the half-wits have turned on her. She should get back on the road and keep fighting the good fight.

  3. The only thing wrong Kathy ever did is that she was not holding Trump’s real head.

  4. Hey Kathy! STFU already!

  5. I’m Team Kathy too, BUT I think she’s handled this situation ALL WRONG. She should’ve chilled and stayed silent or maybe update her fans and do something completely unrelated to that photo on Youtube or something–and it just would’ve blown over. Actually, it did blow-over but she keeps bringing it up! And at this little award ceremony, she should’ve walked out like nothing ever happened.

Agree with what she said! She has always been a comedienne. Always made fun of everyone. But when celebs dropped her cause they were afraid of Trump and his cronies. Just showed her who they truly are! Especially the likes of Anderson Cooper! And she had every right to be angry by their actions. Had it been another like Roseanne or even the late Joan Rivers. They would have stood by her! And you have ignorant twats like Wendy Williams who rides on anyone’s coat tails! Cause that bitch is useless! #TeamKathy!

    Team Kathy

  8. Honestly, your view of her changed. She has been the same since the EARLY 2000s. If your favor for her has changed, it’s because you have succumbed to the criticism of her comedy that has been there since she started, and are likely feeling the pressure from media to ostracize her. She may have overstepped on a joke that fell flat. Sue her if it offends you, and if you have no case…then you were not harmed. Very few of her fans have condemned her like the negative publicity machine has.

  9. I don’t think what Kathy Griffin did was all that bad. But I think she behaved like a angry child since then especially towards her friends.

  10. Kathy Griffin: GO AWAY! Your 15 minutes are over!! So tired of you playing the victim. Don’t go away mad, just GO AWAY!!

  11. You know I love kathy. But really she can’t have it both ways. I agree with what Wendy Williams said on her show last week about kathy… You can’t be friends with the celebrities & still make fun of them like she used to. Before she was a outsider looking in & that was funny. The minute she became from with a lot of well known people… Her comedy changed.
