!! OMG, quote of the day: Ryan Phillippe is offended when people call ‘nepotism’ !!

“So many people grow up and end up doing what their parents do to some degree or another. I always get offended for the children of actors and entertainers when people bring that up because, yeah, of course, that’s what they’ve grown up around. These kids have grown up watching on set with Reese or with me. It seems natural, I think.”

Ryan Phillippe, on nepotism, months after his son Deacon sparked criticism for showing off his pricey New York City apartment on TikTok.

  1. Deacon is in NYC going to college and shares an apartment with 2 other guys from school. He writes and performs music. Sure ues got a platform because of his parents, but if he sucks or succeeds it’s on him. Plus, he’s sexy as fuck like his father. So leave him alone!

  2. Says the guy who was famous for being married to Reese Witherspoon, and has done nothing of note in the past 25 years…

    So painfully out of touch.

  3. This man still does it for me after all these years

  4. SO CALL HIM UGLY THEN!!!……

    • There you are, my sweet angel of morning!

    • SHANNON, Sweetie, Buttercup! Let’s objectively look at this situation. There are things called facts. Use Google to look it up. So the facts? Ryan Phillipe is a movie star and you’re an internet troll. Honey where is your shame?

      • Where is your shame, following the pack to constantly berate a trans woman of color in these comments section. Leave Shannon alone.

        • Oh Morgana, Morgana, Morgana darling! Do you know SHANNON personally? Or did you decide to use trans awareness day to jump on the band wagon and try and defend a troll. I have been commenting on SHANNON’s posts for years because they are consistently negative, if not hateful, and show SHANNON’s lack of character. And your defense of SHANNON says a mouthful too.

  5. Imagine being so out of touch that you think nepotism criticism is due to the fact that they’re following their parents careers…meanwhile his asshat for a son has a luxury apartment in NYC and is bragging about it on TikTok. Hollywood is a helluva drug.

  6. It’s not being interested in the job. It’s booking the job based on parents. Stepping ahead of everyone else because of parents. The kids are already ahead because they think of “acting” as a possible job and they have agents/directors/producers at all their school shows. But then they also skip the line. Get hired with no acting ability and an acting coach hired afterwards.

    $ure!
    It’s all about talent!

  8. To me it’s fine if they are actually good at what they do. Like oh my mum was an actress but I can also act my ass off. I hate it when they have no talent and only get jobs because of their name
