Seems like what he is saying is something that all gay men seem to realize at 50. And no, it doesn’t matter whether or not he is gay. The real point is that aging creates an invisibility in our community. The question is less about overall relevance than it is about age and visibility. “Nobody bothers to question my sexuality anymore” is pretty funny in a bittersweet way when you think about it.
