Many people, including some of our more excitable readers, were offended by Erykah Badu’s Window Seat video, in which, in her words, she “showed America her butt-naked truth.”
Well, if Erykah was as delicate and persnickety as the American public, she could easily have been offended when Wanda Sykes decided to spoof the song and video with her own Middle Seat. But she’s totally not! There’s a lesson somewhere in there but I leave it to you, gentle readers, to figure it out!
you’ll never please everyone and erykah understands that that is what staying true to herself means…if people cant see the humor or intelligence to her art, then they are looking at it from where they are standing…a boring, rigid, narrow, shallow, etc perspective, thats all and there is nothing wrong with that either 🙂 i love erykah!

I was never really a fan of Wanda Sykes, but after watching this spoof, the Sade skit and rewatching her scene in Clerks II this weekend, she’s starting to grow on me. That was funny as hell.
