Lady Gaga’s always talking about how she got her start as the “queen of New York’s gay underground.” It’s all very Bette Midler/Madonna but, oh wait– I guess Lady Gaga’s version of the New York gay underground scene is actually the NYU talent show!
Not exactly Danceteria, but I guess in the end there is actually barely any difference.
wow, she’s really hot and can play DAMN good. Sweet 🙂
To whoever wrote this ‘article’ or ‘blog’ (and I use those terms loosely)….you’re an idiot. You will notice she is introduced as Stefani, not Lady Gaga, it is only when she moved out of her parent’s house and started playing ‘properly’ in clubs (some being gay) that she used the term Lady Gaga, so therefore this was pre Gaga and pre gay clubs…..also she played in gay clubs, but not necessarily exclusively! And to the egomaniac who calls himself Bob Dylan….hahahahaha….you’re lack of intellect is humorous to me. The End.
I wouldn’t mind her so much if her lyrics didn’t seem like they were written by special needs teenagers.
Just kidding, she’s an annoying talentless whore.
Wow, this really shows a very talented gal. Lady Gaga is so manufactured and the music is so heavily produced that I would have never known she could sing like this if I hadn’t seen this. Truly impressive.
Lady Gaga is incredibly talented. Her voice and lyrics are unique.
Very gifted…hope she appreciates this gift of song and continues to share her talent with the world.
Too bad she didn’t go the Norah Jones/ Vanessa Carlton route — we would have all been spared of Gaga’s manufactured claim to fame…
OMG, I love the quirky melody! I love her even more!
