In it’s fifth year, Mango Fashion Awards looks to FINANCIALLY FERTILISE one young designer who they believe could do with a global platform for their craft.
With a cash prize of €300,000 and support from five of Europe’s leading [fashion] design schools, this competition looks to boost embryonic designers to a level where their skill can be appreciated on an international level…sort of like ‘Project Runway’ without the workroom drama and Tim Gunn leering over your shoulder and “hmmm-ing” when you didn’t even see him come in the room.
Dear Tim Gunn, please can we take a fashion shower together to break your vow of celibacy?!
Last year’s winner, Thailand’s ‘Wisharawish’ Akarasantilook, presented a stunning collection of pleated leopards, woven leatherette curtain-call breast panel pieces and long-sleeved tigress crop-tops which you can see after the jump.
