Summer can’t end fast enough. Bright and early this morning Kate Bush announced the release of 50 Words For Snow, her second album of the year and 10th overall.
During interviews to promote Director’s Cut (a collection of reworked songs from The Red Shoes and The Sensual World) back in May, the influential British singer said she was hard at work on an LP of original material that she hoped to release sooner than later. She has now made good on that promise in unusually timely fashion: 50 Words For Snow will come out on November 21 on her own Fish People label.
According to a press release, the album features 65-minutes of original music “set against a background of falling snow.” And, as you can see, the cover image is of a woman making out with a snowman (yes!).
