When Beyoncé released “Best Thing I Never Had” as a single back in June everyone was all, “WHATEVS it’s basically just ‘Irreplaceable’ 2011 redux” but I was all “OMG TELL ME THE MOMENT IT BECOMES AVAILABLE IN KARAOKE FORMAT.” Turns out talented and attractive Brit band The Horrors shared my enthusiasm (sort of) as they recorded an amazing cover version of the song during a recent BBC Live Lounge session that’s almost as good as the original.
According to the blog Cover Me, there is also a soon-to-be-released video of the band performing the song whilst wearing sheer mesh basques and running around a golf course in Baracci wedding dresses. (Part of that last sentence is true, part of it is not.)
