The great thing about the new X-ray technology being tested at Manchester airport is that you get to keep everything in your pockets and don’t have to be patted down by a security official.
The questionable thing is that someone somewhere looking at the display will see your wiener. Seems like a fair trade-off to me!
LULZ @ Scottie and Kyle. 😀
Now that guy’s co-workers know what he is packing (or not).
“What’s the only difference between going to jail or going by plane?
You won’t get a finger shoved up your ass”
Have you seen her excited eyes? That brainless tie-sucker forgot to mention that besides „experienced insecurity“ there might be something like „dignity“. As if everyone wishes that other people could see them naked.
We‘ll do everything for “security” Mr. Bus* ehh..I mean Sarah, right?

Ha ha, I live in Manchester something to look forward too on my next trip!
I want a job in the airport now but only for certain passengers!
What’s with all the questions without looking up the answers for yourselves?
‘Ms Barrett said the radiation levels were “super safe”.
She said: “Passengers can go through this machine 5,000 times a year each without worrying. The amount of radiation transmitted is tiny.” ‘
Taken from the Times Newspaper. The images are destroyed instantly and will only be viewed by someone in a room at a different location. Also children aren’t required to go through the scanners:
‘A spokesman for Manchester Airport said it was a “grey area” but until the law was clarified those aged under 18 would face only conventional security checks.’
Sigh.
First off this has a lot more to do with finding contraband than passenger safety. Yes it is low level radiation, but it is unnecessary exposure because it is a non-medical application.
Also I think this will lead to more problems than it solves. How long before the cell phone shots leak? What about scanning the underage–children and teens. Radiation exposure and exploitation are bigger concerns for them. Will pregnant women be required to be scanned. What of abuses of power where specific individuals are targeted for cruel or lascivious reasons? What about people who have had medical procedures or trans individuals that may get undue scrutiny due to this enhanced screening?
Well he packed his balls, but I think he forgot his dick?
Hello…every little bit of radiation exposure counts. What if you travel alot? What if you work in a hospital where you are regularly exposed to SOME (not a lot) radiation? Anything to save a bunch of losers in a f*cking hurry a couple of minutes. Safety be damned.
Uh…couldn’t they have used a hot, well hung guy for the demo? That would have been much nicer!
Actually one of the biggest exposures to radiation is riding on the plane.
To the person who mentioned radiation, really? You really think that a company would use an machine like that which would make us sick? In this sue happy country? I smell class action lawsuit, so I think it is perfectly safe. Can I be the one behind the camera? 90% of the time my job would suck, but then Justin Timberlake would get on a plane and my jobs perks would be obvious.
Frank, I’d let you keep your things in your pockets and promise not to pat your if you’d let me see your wiener! :))
Hooray! Trade the pat-down for exposure to radiation each time you travel.
