One of the wonders being screened this week at the British Film Institute‘s 2023 LGBTQ+ film festival is Le Beau Mec, a long lost classic of 1970s French gay erotic film.
Directed by Wallace Potts, a lover of Rudolf Nureyev and Nestor Almendros—who both made uncredited contributions to the film—it was considered lost until recently rediscovered a long way from Paris… in a garage in Alabama.
