Will Smith says that he once rejected Christopher Nolan‘s offer to do “Inception”. The film joins “The Matrix” and “Django Unchained” on the list of big movies Smith turned down.
“I don’t think I’ve ever said it publicly but I am going to say it because we are opening up to one another…
Chris Nolan brought me ‘Inception’ first and I didn’t get [the plot]. I’ve never said that out loud. Now that I think about it, it’s those movies that go into those alternate realities… they don’t pitch well. But I am hurt by those, too.”
Welp, you can’t win em all, Will! You were busy enjoying the cheques from Independence Day, Aladdin, Bad Boys, Men in Black AND Fresh Prince to name a few. Inception was great, but you gotta live a little in between.
