I never asked for a country twang version of this song, but I like it. I’m glad she didn’t try to copy the song exactly, and didn’t take the song in a weird direction it didn’t need to go.
she looks like a young Jane Fonda channeling Ziggy Stardust and I love the song!
If anything, I respect Miley as a singer/performer. Good way to make the song her own and she looks great.
Well, coming off of my Kylie High from her latest releases I actually like it. I’m happy she didn’t try to go Debra but, instead be herself. I actually like the raspiness of her voice too. Sure it sounds like she had a pack of cigarettes before she hit the stage but, this song is about bitter hurt. She nailed it.
I’ve been a huge Blondie fan for decades and I love it. Purists never like covers, but Blondie is quite of a cover band. At least one song per album is a cover, including hits like Hanging on the Telephone and Tide is High. Not to talk about their concerts. In spite of that, this is energic and refreshing. HOG is a hard very difficult song to sing and Miley made it her own.
Sounds more like the way Tina Turner would have sang it.
