The first major retrospective on John Waters’s transgressive oeuvre is now at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. The “Pope of Trash” exhibit traces the creative processes, style, and themes that have fueled the director’s films and six-decade career.
He sat down with Director and President of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and TCM host Jacqueline Stewart to discuss his seminal works HAIRSPRAY, CRY BABY, and POLYESTER.
