Now that the kerfuffle around her “Window Seat” video has died down, Erykah Badu is getting down to the business of performing live (presumably with her clothes on and in an array of fabulous wigs and hats). The soul singer announced a slew of spring tour dates this week, including gigs with Maxwell and appearances at Lollapalooza and Lilith Fair. Full dates after the jump.
In other Badu news, a track by Edith Funker (pictured above), a supergroup she’s formed with singer Nikka Costa, Wendy & Lisa (from Prince’s ’80s backing band The Revolution), producer James Poysner and ?uestlove of The Roots, began circulating online after BBC Radio 1 host Gilles Peterson played it on his show. It’s a cheeky funk number about a girl named Annie who doesn’t wear panties called “Don’t Forget the Hot Sauce”. You may recognize it from the the “Honey” video.
