!! OMG, gay epic: Achilles and Patroclus !!

Having taken Latin for five years in high school, I am very well-acquainted with Homer’s Iliad, and of course (as any gay teenager would be) with the Achilles/Patroclus homo love subplot.
If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you will after you watch the amazingly well-executed stop motion epic short film above. It’s like Clash of the Titans but with more tiny clay penises and gay touching. (via Fey Friends)

  1. Damn, that was deep.

  2. The Iliad and the Odyssey were first translated into Latin, and this version was the only one until many many years later when they were translated into English. This is an amazing piece of work – quite visually stunning!

  3. What the hell? I kind of loved that, but…what the hell? Who made it? And why? I would have paid SO much more attention in Latin class when we studied that.

  4. That was amazing!!! loved every minute of it. You gotta love the greeks.

  5. that was awesome. I feel smarter than I did eleven minutes ago.

  6. Why were you studying The Iliad in Latin class? Homer was a Greek, and The Iliad was written in Ancient Greek.
