While the rest of the world was crimping their hair and bouncing around in their legwarmers, the New York City subway was looking less than its best.
The graffiti has long since been scrubbed away and riding the train– rats aside– now feels safer than a stroll through Mayberry, but this amazing collection of photos of the subway in the ’80s is a reminder of how much the city has changed.
