A lot has been said about Kanye West‘s new “Power” video, so we’ll keep it short: basically, it was directed by video artist Marco Brambilla and inspired by an installation he created for the elevator in the Standard Hotel in New York. It is also inspired by Renaissance-era fresco paintings and it is the third video in which Kanye dies at the end. So there’s a little something in there for the haters as well.
People always tell me I sort of resemble that tall, curly-haired guy with glasses from Chromeo. People also occasionally mistake me for a Jew. So… if I were a tall Jewish drink of water from Montreal, I’d like to think this is the kind of clever pop music video I’d star in.
And our saint Kylie M sings in the last chorus. Fantastic Clip.
Love the Ana Matronic. Very nice. Ann Magnuson was doing that cokehead post feminist fatale crap 20 years ago when she was in Bongwater. But it’s still highlarious.
I remember scissor sisters complaining about how their last album was not a hit… so why do they keep doing the exact same thing? Falsetto is gross.
