Matt Wolf’s documentary Wild Combination: A Portrait of Arthur Russell opens today at New York’s IFC Center (6th Avenue and Bleecker St.). I saw it in Toronto a few months ago and was totally moved. It’s thoughtful, insightful, respectful of its subject, and fully captures and describes certain pieces of Arthur Russell’s life and musical career. Go see it before it closes on Tuesday.
