!! OMG, Grindr is testing a premium AI tier with prices up to $499 a month !!

How bad do you need dick? More than groceries? More than rent!?

Grindr is quietly testing a new premium subscription tier called Edge, and the price tags being floated are getting attention fast.

According to Business Insider, the company has been running an early pilot of Edge in Australia and New Zealand, and is now rolling tests into select US cities. As part of the experiment, Grindr is reportedly showing different users different prices. Test rates begin around $80 per week and can climb into the hundreds.

Screenshots shared online suggest monthly prices as high as $349.99 and $499.99. At that level, a full year would land between $4,199.88 and $5,999.88, putting Edge in a category that looks more like a luxury subscription than a dating app upgrade…

A Grindr spokesperson told Business Insider the pilot fits into a broader push to make the app “smarter” and “faster,” with the goal of driving “more meaningful connections.” The new tier is arriving as Grindr navigates a bumpy public moment, following a failed attempt by controlling shareholders to take the company private, renewed scrutiny around data and privacy, and controversy over the platform’s moderation, including the banning of the phrase “No Zionists.”

Grindr’s CEO has since leaned into a forward-looking message focused on AI, privacy, and expansion, but Edge’s testing suggests the company is also betting that a slice of its audience will pay a steep premium to be first in line for whatever AI-powered features arrive next.

Would you/are you paying through the butthole for Grindr these days? Does you tech job afford it? Is the dicking better? Let us know below!
